Programme Social Solidarity
Projet Banlieues
In late 2005 BNP Paribas joined nationwide efforts to support underprivileged neighbourhoods, creating a special program to support jobs and integration called “Projet Banlieues”.
Coordinated by the BNP Paribas Foundation, the program rapidly moved forward thanks to the Foundation's longstanding commitment to social programs, especially through exemplary partnerships with national associations. These initiatives involve close cooperation with local authorities, supported by dedicated staff who benefit from the active commitment of local BNP Paribas management.
The program has received 3 million euros in funding for a three-year period. Projects are selected and monitored by a steering committee comprising BNP Paribas employees and a representative of the Foundation de France.
There are three main components in the program, which centres in particular on urban areas around Paris, Nice, Lyon, Evreux and Toulouse.
